Fellowships
Teaching fellowships are awarded each year. Graduate fellows receive a cash stipend and full remission of tuition. Tuition remission is also extended to fellows in the summer sessions adjoining the fellowship year. Fellows are required to provide the equivalent of twelve hours per week of instructional service in the undergraduate laboratories. Upon recommendation of the department, fellowship appointments may be renewed for a second year. Applications for teaching fellowships are due in the Graduate School Office by March 15; award recipients are normally notified on or after April 5. Teaching Fellows must take a minimum of 8 credit hours of course work per semester, and are restricted to a maximum course load of 11 hours per semester.
