Research Paper

The research paper is intended to provide the student with an opportunity to personalize his/her course experience by investigating a current, medically/scientifically relevant application of physics. The research paper should not merely summarize material presented in class or in the readings, but should constitute a significant extension. It is the student’s responsibility to locate, read and make use of a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed articles on the subject. Information from Internet web sites is permitted, but should only augment the peer reviewed/published material. While a strict page limit is not specified, it is highly unlikely that a paper less than 10 pages in length would result in a research paper of appropriate depth.
